Yamaha Digital Electric Steering Rigging Kit Level 2 – Kit 2
Yamaha’s HelmMaster EX integrated boat control system starts at Level 1, which incorporates the completely new and upgraded Digital Electronic Control (DEC) and compatible CL5 colour display, along with the Electronic Key Switch (EKS) system with keyless remote.
Level 2 sees the addition of Yamaha’s all new steering control system with built in steering on applicable outboard models from 150hp and up. This system takes marine steering to the next level, with extreme smoothness, technical smarts and precision. This kit is a great option for Yamaha F150 – F450 units with integrated, or bolt on DES steering.
Digital Electronic Control (DEC):
Helm Master EX DEC controls are available in single-handle or twin-handle versions for twin through quad engine installations. The user can access features through individual buttons positioned within the sleek control design.
Station Button Activate station transfer (where applicable).
Neutral Hold Button Throttle up the engine(s) without engaging gear.
Single Lever Button Control multiple outboards using only the port side lever.
Centre Engine Button Operate only the centre engine for slower trolling speeds.
Start / Stop Button Press to start or stop all engines.
Power Button Activates the system.
Electronic Key Switch (EKS):
Start your outboard(s) without a mechanical key. With the smart key fob in your pocket, simply press the power button to unlock YCOP and power up the system.
Display:
Helm Master EX supports multiple display options including the CL5 display and compatible multifunction display (MFD) interfaces, allowing flexibility for a wide range of console configurations.
Digital Electric Steering Helm (DES):
Yamaha’s Digital Electric Steering is the electronically controlled steering system, the helm in this kit works with both bolt on and built in electric steer engines. The system is digitally connected from the helm to the engine, requiring no external pumps or fluid. It offer stable and assured steering and steering settings can be configured to suit various boating situations.
