- Mixing: Thoroughly stir until product is mixed to a uniform consistency before use.
- Thinning: Thinning is not recommended. Antifouling performance can be compromised if correct dry film thickness is not applied.
- Cleaner: YTA085 International Antifouling Thinners #3.
- Airless Spray (Professional only): Pressure: 176210 bar/25003050 psi. Tip size: 517 to 521.
- Ventilation and Humidity Control: Ensure adequate ventilation during use.
- Other: Antifoulings should only be wet sanded. Never dry sand or burn off old antifoulings. True colour will develop after immersion.
NOTE: This product is NOT suitable for:
- High-speed craft used frequently
- Stern drive units and/or props and shafts
- Use over aluminium/alloy substrates or zinc-sprayed surfaces
International Boatguard 100 is a high-strength antifouling paint for professional and consumer application onto vessels in fresh and salt water. The ablative cuprous oxide antifouling can be applied up to six months before launch and provides protection for up to one year.
Boatguard 100 is effective against fouling organisms and minimises build up due to its self-polishing technology. It is suitable for use on GRP, wood, steel/iron and lead, and can also be applied direct over most types of antifouling paints, provided they are in sound condition (with the exception of VC17m/PTFE antifouling).
